Reducing Material Waste

Because our forging process uses dies, the material flows and conforms closely to the desired shape. This allows us to produce parts with complex contours while minimizing material waste, requiring only minimal trimming and machining after forming. Additionally, the aligned metal grain flow improves mechanical properties. While metal parts have the advantage of being highly recyclable, energy is consumed at every stage — from initial manufacturing through transportation to recycling. Seen in this light, what matters most is producing each product with as little material as possible and using that material to the fullest.

Reducing Emissions

Hot forging requires a heat source to heat the material. We are moving away from conventional heavy-oil heating and now use induction heating or natural gas combustion, reducing CO2 emissions. For post-forging heat treatment, we have likewise introduced equipment powered by electricity or natural gas. We are also progressively replacing forklifts at our facilities with electric models.
